Sanya is located on the southern tip of Hainan and is the main beach resort on the island. Surrounded by endless white sands and the clear blue South China Sea, Sanya is the place to go for the beach life.
Tourism is the main industry in Sanya and its resorts and hotels offer the visitor a wide selection of activities. Tennis, scuba-diving, golf, windsurfing and water ski-ing are all available for the active holiday maker. If you prefer a quieter and more leisurely time there are plenty of beaches to explore. From the 7km (4 mile) long Yalong Bay to quieter beaches such as Dadonghai, Sanya’s coast still has a few hidden treasures.
