Clothes
Most
Chinese dress casually as it is best to follow this custom for the
sake of being comfortable. However, you may wish to bring one or
two formal outfits as you will probably be planning to visit some
dance halls, bars or discos in today's modern hotels in China. You
should make sure that your footwear is comfortable and strong because
there will be a lot of walking when sightseeing. Clothes for rainy
and windy weather should definitely be packed especially if you
are planning to travel to the Yangzi river or mountains during the
summer months from May to August.

Laundering
services are available in most hotels, usually through the floor
attendant or housekeeping and one-day dry cleaning and pressing
services are offered at better hotels. The quality of service does
vary so it is best to try a few easily replaceable articles first.
