In the last 10 years Shenzhen has been developing extensive tourist facilities to the west of the main commercial districts. Hong Kong residents flock over the border to Shenzhen for business and pleasure. Shopping and dining are cheaper and there are luxury hotels and golf courses to enjoy. Shenzhen offers a glimpse of the most modern side of China.
