Red Cliff Village
Red Cliff Village was established by the Chinese
Communist Party as their headquarters during their World War II
alliance with the Kuomintang against the Japanese.
All Chinese Communist Party representatives visiting
or living in KMT controlled Chongqing stayed at Red Cliff Village.
Zhou Enlai lived here for a number of years during the war and his
room has been preserved. Mao Zedong and Chiang Kai Shek spent 43
days in talks here during August 1945.
The museum has a large collection of photos and
a small collection of essays and revolutionary memorabilia.
