Slim West Lake
Slim West Lake lined with weeping willows and classic pavilions is one of the most beautiful sights in Yangzhou. Dating from the Tang dynasty (618-907AD), this manmade lake has often been quoted by several poets of the period.
The park around the lake is landscaped as a classic Chinese style garden. There are numerous sights along the paths such as the White Dagoba Tower modeled after the one in Beijing, the Five Pavilion Bridge, built to welcome emperor Qianlong in 1757 and Xiao Jinshan, a small hill with several buildings that sits in the middle of the lake.
