Wudangzhao Monastery
Wudangzhou Monastery is located 70km (44 miles) northeast of Batou. Built in 1749, this Yellow Hat Sect Buddhist monastery was once home to 1,200 monks and the remains of 7 Living Buddhas are stored at the monastery. This large and well-preserved monastery covers an area of 20 hectares and is situated on an attractive terraced mountain slope.
