Cangyanshan
Located 80km (50 miles) southwest of Shijiazhuang, Cangyanshan is a scenic area covered with cypress trees as well as pagodas and temples perched on steep cliffs. Natural wonders juxtaposed with historical structures result in a truly dramatic landscape.
Perhaps the most spectacular sight in the area is the Hanging Palace, situated on a stone arch bridge between 2 cliffs. Visiting this Sui dynasty (581-618AD) palace involves climbing almost 300 steps up a cliff-side path.
