Great Wall Museum
Housed in an imitation Qing dynasty (1644-1911) building, the Great Wall Museum is a well-curated introduction to the history of the Great Wall. The 8 halls of the museum explain the history of the region since neolithic times and also features beautiful photographs of different sections of the Great Wall.
Plans and photographs of local historic buildings and a model of the area as it was during the Ming dynasty (1368-1644), give a sense of the immense scale of the defense systems.
