Beaches in Hong Kong
Hong Kong's rocky coastline has many pleasant beaches - perfect for a daytrip away from the city. More popular beaches can be found on the south side of the island - Repulse Bay and Stanley Main Beach can be extremely busy, but also offer wakeboarding and windsurfing opportunities. Though smaller, St. Stephen’s Beach also has water sports.
On the east coast, Big Wave Bay is a mecca for Hong Kong’s surfers. Shek O village has an often-deserted beach close to a mini-golf course and bikes are also available for hire. Dining options are great in this remote Hong Kong village.
The outlying islands of Lantau and Lamma have clean and easily accessible beaches. Other popular beaches can also be found in Sai Kung and Clear Water Bay.
