Plum Garden

(mei yuan)

Plum Garden is found on Hushan mountain and was originally the private garden of a high ranking Qing official. It started as a small peach garden and has since expanded into a charming and fragrant area filled with plum, peach and cherry trees.

The blossoms are especially beautiful in the spring, but visitors come year round to enjoy the pavilions, halls, caves and greenery. The Nianqu pagoda in the highest part of the garden provides excellent views of the surrounding area.
