The Wanchai waterfront will soon transform into a magical Christmas venue. From December 16 to January 2, EuroChristmas comes to Hong Kong.

Coordinated by the Hong Kong government in conjunction with the European diplomatic and business community at a cost of HK$20 million, EuroChristmas will bring Hong Kong's very first white christmas. Snow machines will be mounted on the roof of the Convention and Exhibition Centre, and snow will fall on more than 100 wooden chalets. The chalets will sell unique European christmas gifts and handicrafts. And of course, there will be plenty of food and drink, from german sausages to mince pies and gingerbread.

Ski jumpers will perform on a 11-meter outdoor ramp and acrobats will add more excitement to the festivities. Inside the Convention Centre, will be a "Stars on Ice" skating performance. There will also be a "Winter Magic" area with snow, toboggans and visits from Father Christmas.

"Little Dragon" lives on...

Kung Fu legend Bruce Lee would have been 60 this month and Hong Kong fans have organized a festival of films and celebrations in honor of his memory.

The Hong Kong Film Archive and local film producers have organized a film festival - "Immortal Bruce Lee: From the Kid to Kung Fu Dragon". Until 17 December, 20 films spanning Lee's career will be shown, including his debut movie, "The Kid" which he starred in at the tender age of 10. All showings will be at the Hong Kong Film Archive in Siu Sai Wan. Call (852) 2739 2139 for inquiries.

For more "little dragon" memorabilia, there is the Bruce Lee Cafe on Robinson Road. Here fans can enjoy their meal or drink at a restaurant/bar cum museum dedicated to Bruce Lee. The cafe is run by Jon Benn, who played Big Boss in the 1972 movie "The Way of the Dragon".

If you want to practice your own kicks and punches, go to these martial arts studios in Hong Kong.
