The Wanchai
waterfront will soon transform into a magical Christmas
venue. From December 16 to January 2, EuroChristmas
comes to Hong Kong.
Coordinated
by the Hong Kong government in conjunction with the
European diplomatic and business community at a cost
of HK$20 million, EuroChristmas will bring Hong Kong's
very first white christmas. Snow machines will be mounted
on the roof of the Convention and Exhibition Centre,
and snow will fall on more than 100 wooden chalets.
The chalets will sell unique European christmas gifts
and handicrafts. And of course, there will be plenty
of food and drink, from german sausages to mince pies
and gingerbread.
Ski
jumpers will perform on a 11-meter outdoor ramp and
acrobats will add more excitement to the festivities.
Inside the Convention Centre, will be a "Stars
on Ice" skating performance. There will also be
a "Winter Magic" area with snow, toboggans
and visits from Father Christmas.
