The town of Anning is 34km (21 miles) outside Kunming and the hot water springs are located about 8km (5 miles) outside the town. The waters are a constant 42°C (108°F) and were first discovered during the Han dynasty. Bathing in the deep jade green springs is said to be beneficial to health. There are also some enjoyable walks nearby.
