The Li people first settled in Hainan over 2,000
years ago and this traditional style Li village is located 2km (1
mile) from Tongshi.
The villagers’ thatched homes look like pyramids
or boats with reeds hanging from the roof. Visits to the village
usually include an opportunity to sample traditional food and wine.
